In general, it is concerned as to how the computers are programmed to understand and interpret human languages and drive analytics based on that. NLP is widely used in multiple domains such as speech recognition, voice assistants, and other concepts that require the processing of a human language. Google Assistant, Voice Search, Siri, Alexa, etc. are all good examples of the application of NLP in today's world. Chatbots also use concepts called dictionaries and knowledge bases to learn novel things and have the ability to communicate with humans fluently.
